Guido Sterzenbach completed his high school diploma in 1995 at the Friedrich List Gymnasium in Berlin-Pankow, studied dentistry at Humboldt University in Berlin and received his dental licence in 2002.
In 2002, he began his scientific and academic career as a research assistant in the Department of Prosthodontics and Geriatric Dentistry at the Centre for Dentistry at Charité, Campus Virchow-Klinikum, under the direction of Prof. Dr. K.-P. Lange. With the founding of Charité – Universitätsmedizin Berlin, he became a research assistant in the Department of Prosthodontics, Geriatric Dentistry and Craniomandibular Disorders at the Charité Centre for Dental, Oral and Maxillofacial Medicine, Campus Benjamin Franklin, under the direction of Prof. Dr. W. B. Freesmeyer in 2006.
Supervised by Prof. Dr. K.-P. Lange, he received his doctorate (Dr. med. dent.) from Charité – Universitätsmedizin Berlin in 2007.
In 2009, he received certification in implantology from the German Society for Implantology (DGI).
Together with Dr Theodor Thiele M.Sc. and PD Dr Steffen Köhler, he founded the Dentalzentrum Pankow in 2013 and is its medical director. Since 2024, PD Dr Guido Sterzenbach and Dr Theodor Thiele M.Sc. M.Sc. have been the sole managing directors of MVZ Zahnmedizin Pankow GmbH.
He habilitated at Charité – Universitätsmedizin Berlin in 2016 and received the venia legendi (Privatdozent) for prosthodontics, geriatric dentistry and craniomandibular disorders.
In addition to his main job as head of the Dentalzentrum Pankow, he is a permanent assistent professor in the Department of Prosthodontics, Geriatric Dentistry and Craniomandibular Disorders at Charité – Universitätsmedizin Berlin under the direction of Prof. Dr. Florian Beuer MME.
