The best implant is your own tooth. Artificial implants can replace missing teeth, thus avoiding the need to grind down healthy teeth, for example. In more complex situations, implants can be used to retain removable dental prostheses. In edentulous jaws, implants help to retain fixed dental prostheses (e.g., all-on-four concept). The prosthodontic concept therefore determines the number and, above all, the position of the implants. Before the surgical procedure to insert one or more implants, it is therefore important to carry out an intensive analysis and discussion of the final restoration. The surgical procedure is then only one part of the restoration concept. For this reason, a detailed treatment plan is drawn up at the outset for every tooth and implant-based restoration in our practice.
Our experienced prosthetics specialists draw up an overall plan for this purpose. The restoration concept includes all intra- and extraoral diagnostics, 3D x-ray diagnostics, and 3D virtual planning of the restoration based on intraoral scanns.
