Providing the best possible dental care requires continuous further training. With this conviction, we have been scientifically active for many years and participate in scientific exchange in the form of publications and as speakers at numerous continuing education events. We conduct clinical studies in our clinic in cooperation with other research institutions.
PD Dr. Guido Sterzenbach is also the research representative for the Department of Prosthodontics, Geriatric Dentistry, and Craniomandibular Disorders at Charité-Universitätsmedizin Berlin. In addition to regular lectures and seminars as part of the clinical study program at the university, PD Dr. Guido Sterzenbach supports young scientists by supervising doctoral theses.

From research to practice
PD Dr. Guido Sterzenbach has been a research associate in the Department of Prosthodontics at Charité-Universitätsmedizin Berlin since 2002. He teaches, researches, and publishes with a focus on:
in vitro -
adhesive cementation, restoration of severely damaged teeth, polymer-based restoration materials, zirconia and silicate ceramics, implant-supported superstructures
in vivo –
Post-endodontic restorations, digitally supported functional analysis, implant-supported reconstructions, two-piece ceramic implants, luting composites.
The new findings are directly incorporated into practical work, thus enabling a continuous and up-to-date transfer of knowledge.
We conduct research
Our clinic is actively involved in science and research. In particular, we work closely with Charité – Universitätsmedizin Berlin on various research projects. We initiate clinical studies and receive support for their implementation from various foundations as well as leading manufacturers. We discuss our findings from this clinical research in close collaboration with numerous professors at national and international universities.
We study and publish
We regularly publish our research findings in high-ranking international journals and in presentations at specialist conferences and continuing education events. As sought-after experts, we conduct continuing education courses on behalf of continuing education institutes in various federal states for colleagues and dental experts. Several times a year, we organize continuing education events and conferences at the regional level, at our facility and in Berlin and Brandenburg. We are active members of various professional associations and actively participate in consensus conferences and the development of treatment recommendations.
This means that we continuously engage with the latest scientific findings from Germany and around the world and regularly participate in continuing education.
